Privacy Policy

Launchwork is a private, invite-only tool used by one household to coordinate a single family member’s job search. It is not a public service, there is no open sign-up, and it has no customers. Access is limited to a small allowlist of named people. It is operated by Rob Gabel.

What is collected

Two kinds of information. First, information the household enters about its own job search: employers being targeted, roles, notes on conversations, and contact details for people in the household’s own professional network. Second, information about the household members themselves: an email address used to sign in, a display name, and, for those who choose to use text messaging, a mobile number.

Mobile numbers are never shared

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Mobile numbers are never sold or rented to anyone, for any purpose. A mobile number is used for one thing: sending and receiving text messages between a household member and this tool. Numbers are entered by hand by the account owner, are never purchased or imported from any list, and are not passed to advertisers, data brokers, or analytics services. The only party that necessarily sees a number is the SMS carrier that delivers the message.

Text messages

Messaging is optional and off unless a household member gives their number. Messages are transactional: reminders about that person’s own job search, and confirmations that something they texted in was saved. Frequency is capped at two messages per week per person and never more than one in a 24-hour period, a limit the system enforces rather than merely states. Most weeks are zero. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop messages, START to resume, or HELP for help.

Who can see the data

Only signed-in household members. Every table enforces this at the database level rather than in application code, so a request without a valid session returns nothing. The tool is not used to build a profile of anyone, and nothing entered here is used to train a model.

Where it goes

Data is stored with Supabase (database and authentication) and the app is served by Vercel. Some features send text to Anthropic’s API to draft or classify it, and company research uses a web search tool. These providers process the data to deliver the feature and do not receive mobile numbers.

Keeping and deleting

Records are kept for as long as the job search is useful to the household. Any member can ask the account owner to delete their information, including their mobile number, and it will be removed.
